Authentication & Condition
Checked by hand, described in full
Every piece that comes through the room is examined by us before it is listed — no drop-shipping, no bulk stock, no piece photographed from one flattering angle. What we find is written into the listing and graded on the same six-point scale, so the item that arrives matches the one you read about.
Authentication
What we look at
Stitching & construction
Seam count, stitch pitch and alignment. How a piece is put together tells you more than any label ever will.
Hardware & finishing
Zips, clasps, eyelets and plating — weight, engraving and the way metal ages are hard to get right on a copy.
Labels, codes & paperwork
Neck tags, date codes, serials and box cards, checked against what the piece should carry for its season.
Materials & wear
Leather, suede, knit and sole looked at closely, then photographed honestly so nothing is hidden by a good angle.
Where a piece arrives with a receipt or proof of purchase, we note it on the listing and include it with the order. If we aren’t satisfied a piece is genuine, it doesn’t go up — that’s the end of it.
Condition Grades
Six grades, the same for shoes, clothing, bags and accessories
The grade on a listing tells you how much use a piece has had. It says nothing about authenticity — every piece is authenticated whatever its grade — and it never stands in for the photographs, which always come first.
- 01
Brand New
Completely new and unused, in original condition. May arrive with original packaging, tags and accessories.
- 02
New / Unworn
Never worn or used, but may no longer have its original tags or packaging.
- 03
Like New
Previously owned or handled, but shows little to no visible sign of use. Excellent overall condition.
- 04
Good
Signs of previous wear are present, but the piece remains in good overall condition. Minor marks, fading, creasing or scuffing may show.
- 05
Fair
Noticeable signs of wear — light marks, fading, creasing or scuffs — but still in good wearable condition. Every imperfection is photographed and described.
- 06
Noticeable Wear
Clear signs of previous use, including visible marks, fading, creasing or discolouration. The piece remains fully wearable, with every condition detail photographed and described.
